Mike joined Beacon Securities in July 2006, following the completion of his MBA at Dalhousie. He has worked in both the credit and equity markets in Halifax and in Toronto. He started his finance career at TD Commercial Banking as an Analyst, and was most recently an Associate Analyst in Equity Research covering the technology sector at National Bank Financial. During this time Mike also earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. He is also a graduate of Bishop's University with a BBA, majoring in finance and international business. Mike is currently covering a wide variety of sectors including mineral drilling and special situations. In April 2008, he was awarded the 2007 Starmine Award as Canada's top large cap stock picker.
