After university, Jean joined Geoffrion, Robert where he began his institutional career in 1973. Subsequently, Jean held senior positions with Bache Securities, Midland Doherty, and Deacon Morgan, to return again to Midland Doherty. He then formed his own brokerage firm which was sold to Yorkton Securities, and held senior positions with Thomson Kernaghan and finally CTI Capital. Always, his principal responsibilities were to direct the institutional effort and increase market share. After approximately 30 years of servicing the Canadian institutional marketplace, Jean has a valuable and broad list of contacts within the Pension, Mutual Fund, Bank and Money Management arenas. He joined Beacon Securities Ltd in January, 2005 to develop and increase an already existing presence in Quebec.
Apres l'universite, Jean se joint Geoffrion, Robert en 1973 chez qui il debute sa carriere dans le secteur des ventes institutionnelles. Par la suite, il detient des positions executives chez Bache Securities, Midland Doherty et Deacon Morgan. Il retourne chez Midland Doherty, puis fonde sa maison de courtage, Leduc, Solis, qui est vendue e Yorkton Securities. Il travaille ensuite chez Thomson Kernaghan et, enfin, CTI Capital. Dans toutes ses fonctions, il a toujours travaille au developpement du departement des ventes institutionnelles. Apres 30 ans dans le secteur des ventes institutionnelles, Jean a b?ti des relations de affaire importantes avec les fonds de pension, fonds mutuels et gestionnaires de fortune privee. Il se joint ainsi, en janvier 2005, e Beacon Securities ltd pour developper et consolider une division qui a deja une presence au Quebec.
